Edna Augusta (nee Bandt) Erdman, age 91 of Westfield, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Montello Care Center. She was born on July 3, 1916, Coloma, daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Janke) Bandt. Edna married Ernest Erdman on June 4, 1936, Westfield. They raised five children.
Edna leaves to mourn her four daughters, Wilma (James) Guerten, Franklin, Elvera (Alden) Phelps, Stoughton, Janice (Justus) Spillner, Montello and Connie (Freddie) Cavanaugh, Grand Marsh; 16 grandchildren, Michael (Karen) Guerten, James (Sharon) Guerten, Kari (Gary) Dohmeyer, Patty (Wayne) Woodward, David (Mary) Erdman, Kim (Les) Crandall, Brian (friend Sonja Vike) Phelps, Gary (Sue) Phelps, J. Carl (Kim) Spillner, James (Hope) Spillner, Jeffrey (Pam) Spillner, Jerry Spillner, Lisa Bath-Cavanaugh, Randy Cavanaugh, Fred (Cathy) Cavanaugh, Ginger (Gary) Banaszynski; 25 great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; one brother, Arden (Mary Jane) Bandt, Coloma; one brother in law, Gerald Schliepp and many nieces, nephews and friends. Edna was preceded in death by her husband on May 19, 1973, her parents; son, Ronald Erdman on August 31, 2006; daughter in law, Karen Erdman on November 6, 2006; one great granddaughter, Ashlynn Cavanaugh; two brothers, Edward in infancy and Clarence; three sisters, Hilda in infancy, Sadie Schliepp and Lorena Lentz; one sister in law and one brother in law.
A funeral service for Edna will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, Westfield with Rev. William Dow officiating. Interment will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
