Dwight W. Galbraith, age 74 of Harrisville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in his deer stand, just where he wanted to be. He was born on February 22, 1942 to the late Donald and Mae (Vant) Galbraith. Dwight married Roberta Golliher on August 12, 1967 in Westfield. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, trapper, farmer, fireman, carpenter and all around handyman. Dwight had a great sense of humor. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. Dwight worked for Big Joe Manufacturing, Wisconsin Dells for over 35 years.
Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Roberta; two children, Terri (Brian) Malnory and Julie Galbraith and friend; two grandchildren, Brooke and Courtney Malnory; sister, Rochelle (Walter) Brudnowski; brother, Keith (Roberta) Galbraith; sister in law, Rene (Jack) O’Neill; his faithful hunting buddy, Tough; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Dwight will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Christian Community Church, Westfield with Pastor Terry Temanson officiating. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Dwight’s family wants to thank all of his good friends and family that went fishing, hunting and who looked out for him. He had nine lives and was the most stubborn and determined man you would ever meet.
