Duane "Bud" Labrenz

Duane “Bud” Labrenz, age 88 of Westfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.  He was born on October 8, 1934 in Packwaukee, WI to Walter and Lola (Drew) Labrenz.  Bud married Maureen Bengsch on February 4, 1956 in Dubuque, Iowa.  They were blessed with six children.

Bud worked for Willard and Lawrence Grant on their farm, Brakebush Brothers, Berlin Chapman, Badger Ordinance, Tom and Fred Lyon, Leland Janke and Power Packer where he finally retired from.  He worked part time during his retirement for Maple Lawn Farms.  Bud enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, cutting firewood, four wheeling and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oxford where he served as an elder.

Bud is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maureen; five children, Michael (friend, Margaret Benish) Labrenz, Gary (Sherri) Labrenz, Mary (Richard) Hell, Laurie Pekowsky and Susan Collins; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Labrenz; grandson, Corey Labrenz; siblings, Carl, Roberta, Linda, Louise Mary and LaRaine (Ronald) Parks; son-in-law, Michael Pekowsky; brothers-in-law, Terry (Jeanne) and Dennis Bengsch and sister-in-law, Karen Bengsch.
