Dorothy Patin

Biography Dorothy E. (nee Berg) Patin, age 82 of Portage, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Divine Savior Hospital. She was born on March 15, 1930 in Montello to Ewalt and Evelyn (Klawitter) Berg. At the age of 18 Dorothy moved to Milwaukee where she met and married Steven Olah in June of 1949. Their marriage was blessed with four children. She then married Jack Patin in August of 1974. Following her retirement as a child care provider Dorothy moved to Portage to be closer to family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her cat, Jack.

Survivors include three children, Barbara (Hal) Rhone, TX, Gary (Jody) Olah, Deerfield and Susan Schmeling, Sullivan; five grandchildren, Jason and Matthew Rhone, Cody Olah, Rachel and Jonathan Olah; one great grandson, Corbin Rhone; one sister, Betty Weber, Montello; one brother, Donald (Nancy) Berg, Van Dyne; brother in law, Kenneth Rausch, Big Bend; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewalt Berg and Evelyn Tagatz; son, Darryle Olah; husband, Jack Patin; grandson, Christopher Scott Rhone; granddaughter, Sarah Beth Olah; son in law, James Schmeling; sister, Ethel Rausch; brother in law, Clayton Weber.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church (Big Mecan), W1568 Evergreen Lane, Montello with Rev. Peter D. Zietlow officiating. Burial will be in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
