David Stowell

David B. Stowell, age 73 of Oxford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Tivoli in Portage.  He was born on February 18, 1945 in Portage to Floyd “Bud” and Beatrice (Pike) Stowell.  Dave married Rena Burns on February 26, 1972 in Illinois.  He worked for TriEnda in Portage for 32 years.  Dave enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, dancing, Friday night fish frys and going to the casino.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Rena; four children, David (Dori), Idaho, Adam (Tracy), Washington, Amanda (Cory) Stevens, Oxford and Denise Stowell, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Sue (John) Gajdosik and Loretta Jean (Bob) Olivaris; two brothers, Dennis (Ona) and Dan (Wanda) Stowell; other relatives and friends.  Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his special cousin, Judy (Larry) Baerwald.

A funeral service for Dave will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home in Westfield with Rev. Larry Sheppard officiating.  A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
