Cheryl Colburn

Cheryl Mae Colburn, age 74 of Westfield, passed away on Friday October 28th, 2022 at Froedtert Hospital Milwaukee, WI surrounded by family after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was born on May 9, 1948 in Portage, WI to Marvin and Wilma (Wahl) Warnke. While working for the Westfield Produce Co. she met and married Fran, her husband of 53 years on September 2, 1965 in Westfield. After Fran completed his service with the United States Army in 1967, Fran and Cheryl returned to Westfield to raise their family. During this time, Cheryl worked alongside Fran, to provide for and build a loving home for their children. As her children grew older, Cheryl worked various jobs where she met many great and loyal friends that she cherished until the end. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include Fran and Cheryl’s  four children, Todd (Lynne), Princeton, WI, Shawn (Raxsel), Abilene, TX, Keri, Westfield, WI and Kelly (Lyndie), Madison, WI; ten grandchildren, Erica Johnson, Kira, Kyla, Kody and Remington Colburn; Aveanna, Chyanna, Malina and Christian Colburn; Shyloh Colburn; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Donna (Larry) Wayczi and many other relatives and friends. Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband Fran, and her parents Marvin and Wilma.

A memorial service for Cheryl will be held on Sunday November 6th, 2022 at 1 PM  at New Beginnings Christian Community Church in Westfield with Pastor Terry Temanson officiating.  A visitation will be held at 12 PM until the hour of service.  Inurnment will be in Westfield East Cemetery at a later date.
