Charles Edward Quinn, age 90 of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Montello Care Center. He was born on February 6, 1923 in the Town of Westfield to Edward and Sadye (Kruger) Quinn. As a young boy, Charlie helped his dad on the family bottled milk route in the mornings before school. He married Arlene Wedde on June 29, 1946 in Wautoma. Charlie was a hard worker who spent most of his life farming in the Town of Westfield. He was very proud of his farm and enjoyed hosting and sharing his knowledge of farming with area Ag students and 4-H dairy members. Charlie was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and Westfield White Trackers Snowmobile Club. He served as an Emergency Fire Warden for many years and was a committee member of A.S.C.S. Charlie also enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, traveling and most of all his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Arlene; two daughters, Charlene (Venden “Vince”) Leach, Tucson, AZ and Crysti (Chris) Prange, Lancaster, WI; three grandchildren, Quinn Leach, Milwaukee, Sarah Prange, Madison and Valerie Prange, La Crosse; two sisters in law, Barbara Wedde, Wautoma and Lieselotte Wedde, Tucson, AZ; many other relatives and friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters in law.

A funeral service for Charlie will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Westfield with Rev. Stephen L. Bowie officiating. Burial will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to First Presbyterian Church.
