Carrie Mittelsteadt

Biography Carrie E. Mittelsteadt passed away at the age of 85 on Tuesday, January 4th, 2011 at Waupun Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center. For the past 5 years, Carrie resided at the Waupun Christian Home. Prior to Waupun, she lived in the Town of Crystal Lake, Marquette County with her husband, Theodore, for 25 years. She was born on October 30th, 1925 in Fond du Lac to George and Mabel (Smith) Tourtellotte. On November 27th, 1943, Carrie married the love of her life, Theodore L. Mittelsteadt, in Waupun, WI. For 30 years, Ted and Carrie took pride in the farm they owned near Oakfield, WI. Carrie also was known to work in a shoe factory in Waupun during this time. Carrie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Harrisville prior to moving to Waupun.

Carrie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Theodore (Ted), who passed away on Sept. 14, 2005, parents George and Mabel Tourtellotte, other relatives and friends.

On Saturday, January 8th, visitation will be held at 10:00 at Christian Home Chapel, Waupun, WI. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 with Rev. Wick Hubers officiating. A burial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Harrisville Cemetery, Town of Harris.

Carrie will be deeply missed by family and friends.
