Betty Long

Betty Jean Long, age 79 of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Divine Savior Hospital, Portage. She was born on March 19, 1927, Township of Harris, daughter of the late Walter and Georgie (Beals) Huebner. Betty married Francis Long on February 12, 1946 in Westfield, he preceded her in death on June 12, 1978. Betty and her husband owned and operated Long's Coffee Cup in Westfield for many years during which time she was an active member of the Westfield Chamber of Commerce. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church and New Beginnings Christian Community Church, Westfield.
Survivors include one daughter, Laurie (John) Goodnature and one son, Robert (Sue) Long of Westfield; five grandchildren, Michael (fiancée Tasha) Long, Adam (Sarah) Goodnature, Matthew (Nikki) Goodnature, Betsy (Michael) Alexander and Belinda (Travis) Lalor; two great grandchildren, Kaden and Ava Goodnature; one sister, Grace Smith, Westfield and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Neale Huebner.
A funeral service for Betty will be held on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM at New Beginnings Christian Community Church, Westfield with Pastor Terry Temanson officiating. Inurnment will be in Westfield East Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home, Westfield and on Monday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.
